Duluth East boys hockey coach Mike Randolph, on super-sophomore Jacob Jeannette, who exploded for a two-goal, five-point game in a 10-0 victory against Superior in the Greyhounds’ final regular season game Monday night at Essentia Duluth Heritage Center:

“He’s been playing very well. He moved up (to the first line, to play on a unit with seniors Jonathan Jones and Ryder Donovan) because he was playing well and then he’s continued to play well. He’s playing with a lot more confidence. You see his strong play like tonight, and we’ve got to keep reminding ourselves that he’s only a sophomore. He was buried down in the varsity lineup earlier this season. He’s a competitive kid, works really hard. And, he’s really grown into his game.”
