Senior forward Justin Thomas scored two first-period goals to lead Hermantown to a 6-2 victory over Bemidji in a Hilltopper Holiday Classic high school boys hockey semifinal Friday night at Mars Lakeview Arena in Duluth.
The four-time defending tournament champion Hawks will face Rosemount in the championship game at 3:15 p.m. Saturday.
Joey Pierce, Elliott Peterson, Brady Baker and Blake Biondi also scored for Class 1A/No. 2-ranked Hermantown (7-2), and goaltender Cole Manahan recorded 22 saves.
