DULUTH, Minn.- With UMD football’s home opener this past Thursday, we have decided to feature the Bulldogs’ QB1 John Larson. Larson started under center for UMD his sophomore year, but his time was cut short as he sustained a lower body injury in week seven. Even with that injury the Braham native managed to be named All-NSIC North Division first team, going 101 for 167 and throwing for 1343 yards.
Larson is back and healthy this season which he proved in Thursday night’s 52-7 domination over Minot State. The junior went 16 for 28 for 279 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. He also picked up 77 yards rushing on just six carries.
If you want to see Larson and the rest of the dogs in action, their next home game is Saturday September 21stat 6:05pm against St Cloud State.
