SUPERIOR, Wis.- Superior softball’s Mady Stariha had a dominant night on the mound Thursday throwing a no hitter in a five inning, 10-0 win over Eau Claire Memorial. In that game Stariha has a total of 10 strikeouts, adding 12 more in the second game of the double header against the Old Abes.
Stariha is also a force at the plate. In her junior season she finished with a .400 batting average. In the circle Stahira throws absolute heat with opponents hitting averaging .155 off her last season. The Spartan ace is bringing her talents to UMD come the fall to join Jen Walter’s Bulldog dynasty.
With a big help from Stariha, Superior now moves to 3-0 on the season. If you want to see Stariha and the rest of the spartans in action their next game is Tuesday 4/23 at 4:30 against Hermantown.
