DULUTH, Minn.- Earlier this week, Minnesota-Duluth women’s hockey defenseman, Ashton Bell, was named WCHA Defenseman of the Week after having a hand in every UMD goal against Clarkson last weekend with a total of four assists and holding the Golden Knights to a scoreless game two.
Bell finished last season with a total of 17 points, 5 goals and 12 assists. The Deloraine native has participated in the USA-Canada series in both 2019 and 2018 as a member of the Canadian Women’s Development Team. She was also one of 47 players invited by Hockey Canada to attend the BFL National Women’s Team Fall Festival that took place this past September.
If you want to see Bell and the rest of the Bulldogs in action, they are back October 11th and 12th as they begin conference play, taking on Minnesota State-Mankato at Amsoil Arena.
