DULUTH, Minn.- Our ‘Athlete of the Week’ is the guy who will be under center for the Duluth East Greyhounds Friday night and has been this entire season so far. In his first four starts, the senior has 29 completions for 488 yards and nine touchdowns.
We asked head coach Joe Hietala about the perks of having an experienced senior running the offense and he said, “It’s huge. He even had some varsity experience as a sophomore and the more he’s out there the more the game slows down for him […] and now he has a beat on what the defense is trying to do to stop us, so it just makes him that much more valuable.”
If you want to see Edwards and the Greyhounds in action they now prepare for the annual cross town rivalry against Duluth Denfeld Friday night and after that, it is an even bigger battle against Hermantown on October 4th.
