Huskies clip Border Cats in 15 innings

First baseman Trevin Esquerra tripled in two runs in the top of the 15th inning to power the Duluth Huskies past Thunder Bay, 6-4, in a Northwoods League North Division game Tuesday night at Port Arthur Stadium in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

The first-place Huskies (10-5) received three-hit performances from Sam Hawley, General McArthur and John Lagattuta.

Tim Holdgrafer blanked the Border Cats in the final four innings, allowing only one hit, to collect the pitching victory.

Duluth (10-5) plays host to Thunder Bay at 6:35 p.m. today at historic Wade Stadium.
