Huskies rout Rox, sweep home-and-home series

The Duluth Huskies exploded for nine runs in the first two innings en route to an 11-2 victory over the host St. Cloud Rox at Joe Faber Field on Tuesday.

Winning pitcher Troy Newell (1-1) scattered four hits in seven innings, striking out four.

Hunter Bigge had two hits for the Huskies, who defeated St. Cloud 10-6 Monday afternoon at historic Wade Stadium in Duluth.

Duluth (5-3), unbeaten in its last four games, begins a two-game series at Waterloo tonight.
